Private Furniture, client London
This furniture piece was developed for a fashion-stylist based in London, UK, who used it as furniture and as a setting for fashion photoshoots. The project was experimental and we explored the concept of scalelessness.
scalelessness
Ergonomic waves that fit the body of a user are produced by layering smaller structural waves on top of each-other, which under a certain tension generate a natural tendency to stiffen the material under pressure. Multiple variations are possible, each with their own effect and characteristics. Taller waves are more flexible, denser waves more strong, waves packed in alternating directions can be even more stiff, and so forth.
